These terms govern use of seniorlex.website and its online legal information and paid document-support services for users in Japan.
Service scope. This website provides legal information and document-support assistance only within the scope expressly stated on the site. Unless specifically identified as an attorney or registered foreign lawyer, the operator does not hold itself out as a bengoshi, law firm, or provider of representation reserved under the Attorney Act (Act No. 205 of 1949), Act on Handling of Legal Services by Foreign Lawyers.
User responsibilities. You must provide accurate information, use the site lawfully, and review all drafts before submission or use. You remain responsible for decisions, filings, deadlines, and statements made to third parties or public authorities.
Orders, fees, and cancellations. Paid support, pricing, delivery timing, payment methods, cancellation rules, and provider details are stated on the provider-identification page published under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions(Act No. 57 of 1976). Consumer terms must be interpreted consistently with the Consumer Contract Act, Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations.
No guarantee. We do not guarantee a legal outcome, approval, eligibility, or suitability for any specific matter. Content is provided on an informational basis and may change with law or practice.
Privacy and communications. Personal information is handled under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information(Act No. 57 of 2003). If promotional email is sent, prior consent, sender identity, and opt-out handling apply under the Act on Regulation of Transmission of Specified Electronic Mail.
External transmissions. If analytics, tags, or similar tools transmit device-related data to third parties, notice is provided in an accessible manner under the Telecommunications Business Act(Act No. 86 of 1984), Article 27-12.
Intellectual property. Site text, layout, and original materials are owned by or licensed to the operator and may not be copied or reused except as permitted by law.
Liability. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from site use, downtime, third-party content, or user error.
