Service Disclaimer

This page explains the nature, limits, and jurisdictional scope of our services for users in Japan.

seniorlex.website is a document-support and legal information service. Unless expressly identified on a specific matter, we are not a bengoshi, not a Japanese law firm, and not authorized to use titles restricted under the Attorney Act (Act No. 205 of 1949) or the Act on Handling of Legal Services by Foreign Lawyers.

Bilingual communication, translation help, form guidance, and document-preparation support do not by themselves constitute legal advice, court representation, or bar-admitted practice. If a licensed professional is engaged, that person’s name, license category, and admitted jurisdiction should be confirmed in writing before you rely on legal advice.

Our services may include intake assistance, procedural information, template support, and coordination support. Our services do not automatically include court appearances, negotiation with opposing parties, representation before authorities, notarization, tax advice, immigration representation, or any filing handled only by a properly licensed professional.

No result, approval, deadline outcome, inheritance outcome, or dispute resolution result is guaranteed. Your matter may depend on facts, evidence, timing, third-party action, and the law of the relevant jurisdiction.

Services are limited to the scope stated at checkout, proposal, or engagement confirmation. Additional work, expedited handling, professional referrals, official fees, translation by certified translators, and out-of-pocket costs may be charged separately where applicable.

Any consumer-facing fees, cancellation terms, and explanations should be read together with our transaction disclosures and customer terms. We aim to avoid unfair clauses and misleading representations in line with the Consumer Contract Act, Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations.

If this site allows paid online applications or contracting, operator and transaction details should also be reviewed under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions(Act No. 57 of 1976). Personal-data handling is governed by our privacy policy under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information(Act No. 57 of 2003).

Questions or complaints may be sent to our contact details below. Consumers in Japan may also seek general guidance through Consumer Hotline 188 or the Japan Legal Support Center (Houterasu).
